How to use the My Instant Biz Member’s Forum!
This is a short tutorial on how to access and use
the support forum at MIB.
The Forum is here! Once you register and become
activated, be sure to bookmark it.
First though I want to emphasis that the forum is
your number one MIB building resource after SURFING
of course. In the forum you will find pages and
pages of extremely useful info as well as all the
moral support from an active and caring membership
that you could possibly hope for.
The Forum is divided into several separate
sub-forums, which in turn consist of several
“Threads”. Threads are simply “Posts” that have
multiple responses to them and Posts are comments or
questions that members have submitted for public
viewing. A “Thread” always starts with a “Post” and
consists of multiple “Posts” or responses.
To ask (or post) a question simply find the
sub-forum header that most closely deals with your
topic and open it. Lets say you want to tell us all
that you got your first sign up. Click on “Success
Stories” to open that sub forum and click on the
“NEW Topic” button near the top left. You should see
a “Subject” field and “Message body” field that may
resemble many email systems you have seen before. It
works just like an email at this point. Just enter
the topic (Subject) in the Subject field and then
ask your question in the Message Body field. When
you’re finished you can “Preview” your message,
“Submit” it, “Save” it to finish later or “Cancel”
it. “Preview allows you to look your message over
and edit it before you “Submit” it. After you submit
it, you’re all set. Your inquiry will be posted
right away and the other members will be able to
view it now and respond to you.
As you are reading other Posts and Threads, you may
want to respond to some else’s “Post” as part of
that “Thread”. Simply click on “Post a Reply” below
the last Post and you will find yourself at the
“Subject” and Message body” screen again. You don’t
need a subject this time and you can simply enter
your response in the Message Body field and then
Submit, Preview, etc.
To send someone a PM (Private Massage) click on the
PM button below their post. This will open a window
similar to the other posts on the forum. The
difference is you will not be posting for everyone
to see. It will only go to the person you have
chosen to send it to. This is just like an email
without the 'getting lost in cyber space' part.
Enter your information and submit. That person will
be notified of a new private message the next time
they login to the forum.
That’s pretty much it. As with anything, you get
better by doing so don’t be shy and join in the
discussions that you find of interest.
And finally, THERE ARE NO STUPID QUESTIONS here. If
you don’t know PLEASE ASK. We want you to be
successful at MIB and that means there’s a lot to
learn and you will have questions. The membership
here is VERY "new person" friendly so don’t worry if
you don’t know it all yet.
And most importantly, HAVE FUN!
